We are a full-service interior design firm with both a large studio and showroom on Fort Mill’s quaint historic Main Street. Founded by Lynn Blackwell in 2013, our mission is to create beautiful, functional spaces that are personalized for each client and their own specific needs and personal style. Our goal is to create a home that you love, and one that is undeniably you.
You can visit our large downstairs showroom, with twelve fully styled rooms with dozens of seating options for you to see, sit in and test, to see the quality and variety of products we sell. Each room is designed with its own unique style for an even more informative experience.
And as stocking dealers for manufacturers like Lee Industries and Lillian August, we’re also here to help you select and order custom upholstery even if you don’t need design services. We’d love to help you find your perfect chair or sofa!
Our Team
Lynn Blackwell
Owner + Interior Designer
Lynn specializes in creating personalized interiors that are uniquely suited to each client’s taste and lifestyle. She loves all styles, mixes old and new, and adores a good before and after. Lynn’s love for houses led her to give up a CPA license in favor of a Builder’s license, which soon after, led to her graduation from an accredited 4-year Interior Design program. She and her husband live in Fort Mill, have two children, three grandchildren, and an adorable dog named Bailey.
Lynn holds a BS in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and a BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University. She is an Allied ASID member.
Brynn Strait
Studio Manager
Brynn is a York County native who grew up riding horses and competing in equine events and other sports. She has been with Lynn Blackwell Design since its inception in 2012 after having worked in banking. She is heavily involved in all aspects of the business and is the practical voice of reason that keeps the creative types grounded. She and her husband Ben live on a working farm in York County with their son John Cason, two dogs, and assorted cute farm animals.
Brynn graduated from the Clemson University College of Business with a BS in Business Management.
Jennifer Tackett
Design Assistant
Jennifer has been with Lynn Blackwell Design since 2016. With over 19 years of experience in the Home Furnishings Industry, her love for edgy traditional style serves her well when assisting clients with their styling projects. Jennifer grew up in Hendersonville, NC, and still enjoys spending time with her family in the Carolina mountains and foothills. Jennifer currently resides in Waxhaw, NC with her husband and three adorable children.
Jennifer has a BA in Communications from North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
Pam Harris
Design Assistant
Pam is a Texas native who loves all types of decorating styles. Her design sensibilities can be seen in her own home, which is full of original art and antiques mixed with modern touches. Pam brings years of experience and a reasoned approach to helping clients solve their decorating problems and wade through an overwhelming number of choices to get the look they want. She and her husband live in Fort Mill with their two children and enjoy trips to Charleston to visit their daughter at college.
Pam graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in History.
Natalie Demby
Design Assistant
Natalie is a Charlotte native with a passion for design. Her style is mostly transitional, but she loves to mix traditional style with eclectic and modern accent pieces for an element of surprise. Natalie enjoys putting thought and purpose into helping customers create the perfect look for their living spaces. She and her husband live in Fort Mill with their three boys and they enjoy lakeside fun and mountain retreats whenever possible.
Natalie graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Advertising and Public Relations.
